In OOSC the children have thoroughly enjoyed playing with the new loose parts that have been purchased by the school. Loose parts are materials which can be moved around, carried, stacked, lined up and manoeuvred in multiple ways to enhance creativity when playing. This open-ended play improves creativity, boost social and problem-solving skills and supports inclusion. Throughout each session children have the opportunity to build, make and play, with open access to both indoors and out.
If your child is booked into a session please ensure that they bring a healthy snack in with them.
What absolute super stars our Oaks are! There has been barely a disagreement; no complaining; every child went above and beyond and tried every activity, no matter how much of a challenge it was! What more could staff ask for. Thank you Mrs Dodd, Mrs Ford and Miss Lunn.
